Bubbling Pino

baby 13 to 24 months old ぴの・べー坊の成長

Pino as of the end of September 2022

My daughter Pino, she is always busy with making sounds excepting her sleeping time.

“Apu-apu”, “Ah—-“, “Mannnnn—-“, “Yaaaaaa”

Hearing her adorable bubble, I can’t wait to hear her first utter “mama” looking at me, but it may take some more time. (By the way, this is the first time for me to know the word “bubble” is used for the sounds that babies make before they start saying the real first word.)

Although I have yet to hear the first “mama”, she does understand what I and my husband say in various situation, and enjoy experimenting with repeating the sounds we make.

For example, at her mealtime, which is one of her joys during a day, she says “dachu” (it sounds like she was saying like this.) with putting her hands together. It is obviously what my husband shows before starting mealtime, and I was so surprised when she was doing these two motions after I said just “itadakimasu” unconsciously.

In addition to this, she can react to the following things;

  • inai-inai-ba (Pee-a-boo) Pino says [ba!] or [bo!] after my phrase of [iani-inai?] or [Peek-a-?].
  • She often says [gacchya!] when putting a wood block on the other one, which is the influence of one of the famous TV programs targeted for babies to two-years-old children “Synaphusyu”. (Do you know “Synapusyu” on TV TOKYO?)

Regarding the second point, this comes from Synapusyu’s segment “Connection” that twins of cats find “connection” in a daily life and introduce it with the signature phrase “がっしゃーん!(Connection)”.

Pino really likes watching this, and I and my husband have spontaneously used the phrase in the scene of playing with her at home. The more we speak out, the more she listens, and it connects to more her outputs. Then, she became able to say “gacchya!” in recent days.

I like to see she’s finding something fun.

I like to see she’s really into something.

Even though what she’s into damaging my smart phone with a toy building block. (Please kindly stop doing it, Pino 🙂

I hope she enjoy filling herself with various sounds as well as words by interacting others who range from young to aged and get interested to output in very near future. As one of the closest people for Pino, I would like to pile up the time to spend with her talking, singing, and reading picture books as long as I can. (I know it actually hard to curry outヽ(^o^)丿)

Grow up at your rhythm, Pino. We are always with you.
